The Athletic Effect is a very effective way to increase your running speed temporarily. However, the Schedule 1 game offers other mobility options. Skateboards provide a base level of faster travel than walking. The actual "best" way for rapid traversal often involves combining methods. Many experienced players combine the Athletic Effect (for speed) with the Anti-Gravity effect (for high jumps) while using a skateboard. This synergy allows for swift movement, including jumping across rooftops, effectively letting you "fly" across the map. So, while the Athletic buff is excellent on its own, it shines brightest when combined strategically with other effects and tools in the Schedule 1 game. Console commands like setmovespeed can also make you faster, but that bypasses the standard gameplay mechanics.
